I searched for this first and found nothing. It may have been suggested before, but if it has been I didn't find anything.

Prophecies characters have the opportunity to get 1 more title than Factions or NF chars. That one title can make a lot of difference on a GWAMM character seeing as how eventually you're down to choosing which titles you want to spend a bunch of money on to finish. What if Factions and NF chars got a title that was the equivalent to LDoA, somehow exclusive to character created in those campaigns?

I'm not sure how you would get this title seeing as how it's easy enough to hit level 20 before leaving Shing Jea or Istan. Maybe completing all the quests on those islands before leaving? These quests aren't available to characters from another campaign, and if it has to be done before a certain point that prevents people from going back and doing them once they leave because Prophecies characters don't get that option. You could easily call it Legendary Defender of Shing Jea/Istan.

No. They would have access to storage, tomes, high level players help, 4 player parties, and anything they else they could trade/pay for in Kamadan /Shing Jea

NF and Faction newbies have advantage of immediate contact with the world.
Runners, Guildies, Allies and friends can help since they've done/skipped the tutorial. That wouldn't be fair.

A similar post - here - and a similar answer.

Despite I don't like prophecies, it's start is much harder and slower than other campaigns', so I think those ppl should be rewarded. You have enough chances to gain GWAMM.

NF has Lightbringer and Sunspear; EotN has Vanguard, Norn, etc.; each campaign (continent) also brings along VQ, Cart, Guandian, Protect, etc. titles. If you're missing a campaign, or expansion, you're going to be missing out on some titles.

If it comes down to where you want to start a character (assuming you have all campaigns and are going for GWAMM), be happy that everyone can now get survivor.

However I know exactly where you're coming from. I actually mentioned this on another thread; how prophecies characters now have access to one more title that a derv, para, sin, or rit cannot achieve. But the reason I'm not for it is because I think there are way too many titles in the game to pursue now. I don't think any more titles should be added.

Don't care for this idea. Starter Quests rewarding a title is silly. Also, it would leave out older characters from prophecies that have already left pre-searing.

Obviously you didn't read the whole thing. The quests would have to be finished before leaving Shing Jea or Istan. If a char leaves before getting the title, it would have the exact same effect (well almost, you can still travel back obviously you just can't work on the title) as those chars that left pre before getting LDoA.

Well yes... Older proph chars can't get LDoA if they haven't already. Why should older Factions/NF chars get the chance to go back and get a title when proph chars can't?

Thats the problem though, titles that are unobtainable for older characters. Creating further titles that discriminate against almost 6 years worth of characters is bad design.

In pre isn't armor crafter, Xunlai chest, access to GH, 4 and 8 member groups, heroes (NF only), etc.
Faction and NF offer all those things from it's 1st moment!
You also gain massive amount of XP compared to Prophecies.
That's why it is different.

Make it account wide, storyline wise it's nothing that prohibits a Factions or NF character from having visited Ascalon before the searing. And I agree completely, now that the titles are no longer mutually exclusive it's no longer fair!

this would be silly. LDoA was put into game because a few crazy people figured out you could death level the charr and they did it all the way to level 20. It was a reward for a few dedicated crazy players.

There is literally nothing in the other games that can compare to pre-searing.

BTW, i think all titles should be account wide.

If you had read every post, you would see that someone would have already mentioned that and I had already realized I'd forgotten that. And the title wasn't based on XP either.
